Therapy Success Story: Mr. W.

Portrait of older adults, men and women, smiling after working out.

Mr. W. came to us on New Years Day from St Thomas hospital in Nashville. He had hernia surgery which caused a setback in his previous lifestyle. He was eager to return home where he lives independently with his spouse in Franklin, KY. He had been referred to BGNR for therapy services to improve his functional mobility, including his ability to perform activities of daily living, like getting dressed and performing hygiene tasks; as well as build strength and endurance to safely walk at home with good balance to reduce fall risk, building up stamina to walk and continue his lifestyle being active in his community. Mr. W. worked hard in therapy. He was compliant to working with all therapy disciplines diligently every day and was able to return home in just 8 days. Proud of his progress and hard work, he has now returned back at home independently with his wife.
